I have posted twice, both times my post hasn't gone up :-(
Very frustrating.
RIP Rachel Corrie
The Australians, so disgusted by the wars, particularly Iraq, seem to be levelling thier criticism at the individuals rather than the country of America. This is a good thing, I think Rove is most unpopular, Rumsfeild is second, it isn't as if Bush was capable of organising all those wars by himself. Better to deal with the perpetrators than the muppet.

Students Design a Satellite via Internet
I wonder it this would be the way to design my dream space telescope? 5 SOHO type satelites at the Lagrange Points, Able to survey the milky way plane, live veiw like this. It would have to have Hubble / Spitzer size telescopes (or bigger), I wonder what sort of resolution you could from such a interferometry mission? I think an asteroid and space dust survey should come first. I think the IPN will require communications satelites at the Lagrange points as well. I wonder wether such projects will come before or after footfall on Mars?
The Java Applet, how quickly to learn a langauge??
The Freemind applet is so much fun! If it was as easy as adding an image I would be set!
Well, back to me versus the legal system :-(
I think I would at least learn not to touch something that burns!
I think it muust be the inner fireman in me :-)
Working on a human rights workshop for the ethically challenged or disinterested.
I think Coucil have almost got the ACT Bill of rights onto the occupancy agreement, along with the serveral other notably UN covernants, declarations and conventions. Hopefully this is a good start for the basic treaty, current consesus
Right to life
Implies, requires;
- Life
- Air
- Water
- Food
- Shelter
- Peace
It does not identify the life form for which the right is phrased. Is there also then a recognition of Animal Rights?
The fundamental principle of the AR movement is that nonhuman animals
deserve to live according to their own natures, free from harm, abuse, and
exploitation. This goes further than just saying that we should treat
animals well while we exploit them, or before we kill and eat them. It
says animals have the RIGHT to be free from human cruelty and
exploitation, just as humans possess this right. The withholding of this
right from the nonhuman animals based on their species membership is
referred to as "speciesism".

When he wantonly destroys one of the works of God, we call him a sportsman."

Nice to see a post from you. You're definitely focused on the big picture more than my posts do.
